Welcome to Shyins Starwars: The Old Republic website. I have been a fan of the Starwars Universe like many, many others out there since my early years. When the rumors started surfacing in 2007, about the secret MMO being developed by LucasArts and BioWare, I decided to keep as close a track on it as I possibly could, and get a website together for the Official Press Release. I worked very hard to finish this site, and though it was a little late, I finally made it. I want to welcome everyone to Shyins Starwars: The Old Republic website.
Welcome to Shyins

The official website has posted a brand new Developer Blog Entitled: Finding Balance in the Force. Writer Joanna Berry brings to light some thoughts behind crafting the Jedi Consular! My favorite Star Wars™ film has always been The Empire Strikes Back™. But while the battle of Hoth will keep me glued to the screen for that second when the AT-ATs appear out of the snow, the film’s defining moments are on Dagobah, while Luke struggles and trains with Master Yoda. Before that, the Force was just a word that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader used, for a power whose glory days were long over. But on Dagobah, with Luke, we saw the Force differently; not as some simple trick that made Imperial Stormtroopers look the other way, but something greater. The Force™ is a living energy binding the galaxy as a whole. It is something that, in the hands of a master, could raise a lost X-Wing from the depths of a swamp. And after the cave where Luke faced his greatest fears, we understood the most important lesson for a Jedi: you can’t solve every problem with one stroke of your Lightsaber.
The Jedi Consular knows that lesson better than anyone. Trained in the arts of the Force, driven by curiosity and the search for knowledge, the Jedi Consular sees that through the Force, all things are connected.

Taris: Legacy of Sith Destruction
Submitted by Shyin on February 22, 2010 - 2:22pm
The Starwars: The Old Republic official site has posted a new playable Planet: Taris. Once home to a thriving civilization, Taris was razed by the Sith Lord Darth Malak 300 years ago during the Jedi Civil War. As a symbol of hope, redemption, and defiance, the Republic has begun an unlikely effort to re-colonize Taris. To do so, they will have to deal with the toxic soil, dangerous pirates, and ferocious rakghouls – the only survivors of the Sith bombardment. Determined to overcome the challenges, Republic and Jedi leaders are moving forward with the effort. We have updated our Concept Art, Screenshot, and Wallpaper Galleries with the new images.
You can read the entire article here. And make sure you check out the new Holonet entry for Taris here.
